Harrismith is a charming, tranquil, small country town with population of about 96 000 people. Despite its smallness, the town is an important commercial, tourism, farming and industrial centre, and is growing steadily. The town is set in fertile farming lands and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain ranges of the country including the Drakensberg and Maluti Mountains, home to Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
